25th Annual Chicago Walk-Fun Run-Bike-Skate-A-Thon
For 64 years, UNCF has provided financial and technical assistance to our 39-member historically black colleges and universities. Without UNCF’s support, many of the students at these colleges would not have access to higher education or the benefits that it provides. Ask your friends, family and co-workers to sponsor your walk. Your participation in the Walk-A-Thon and the money you raise supports more than 60,000 students a year, builds a more diverse workforce, and strengthens our community.
The 25th Annual Walk-Run-Bike-Skate-a-thon will take place on September 13, 2008 in Grant Park lower Hutchinson Field. Onsite registration for the event starts at 7:00 am and festivities begin promptly at 8:00 am with sponsor and award presentations, guest speakers, aerobic exercises and the start of the Walk immediately following. The fun continues all through the day with food and entertainment. This year's Walk-Run-Bike-Skate-a-thon promises to be our most successful as we strive to reach our goal of raising $300,000! (Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult.)
There are many ways you can participate: Create a team and register for the event; register yourself, friends and family for the event; become a sponsor or make a donation to the event.
