Birmingham City Schools Payroll Deduction 2024

Birmingham City Schools - Building Leaders. Impacting the World.

BCS Employees:

Keeping with our core business of teaching and learning, educators, along with support staff, parents, and volunteers, spend countless hours and invest in a myriad of resources to prepare pathways to a successful future for our scholars. We work daily to chart a course for our scholars to be college and career ready, and successful in life. Many of our scholars dream of a bright future, navigating diligently through their school years towards a college destination. But for many, the barrier of college costs brings the journey to an end. That’s why Birmingham City Schools is happy to join with UNCF (United Negro College Fund) in its annual campaign to “Change the Trajectory” for our students facing this challenge.

For almost eight decades the UNCF has raised over five billion dollars and has awarded more than 500,000 student scholarships to help scholars continue their journey to college attendance and completion. It is your support that makes this possible, and that is why we are reaching out to you through the Birmingham City Schools’ UNCF campaign.

The “Change the Trajectory” campaign will kick off in our district on February 1, 2024, and will run through March 14, 2024. During the campaign, you can pledge support through payroll deduction using the form below, or by making a one-time donation. No matter how you choose to give, your donation ensures support for the 37 historically black colleges and universities through scholarships, internships, and programs to help students overcome the financial hurdles that present barriers to college attendance.

I thank each of you for the work you do daily to help secure the futures of our scholars. I also thank you in advance for your donation that will “Change the Trajectory” of the lives of our scholars, our community, and our nation.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mark Sullivan
Superintendent, Birmingham City Schools
