We are excited that the UNCF Los Angeles 34th Walk for Education is back and is going raise money to send students to and through college. Our Walk for Education includes a fun-filled day with exciting festivities! In addition to a 5K walk, there will be a Kid's Zone for younger children to enjoy, a Vendor Village with local businesses, college information, health screenings, musical performances, delicious food, and fun. This is a community event for the whole family. You can start gathering your family, friends, co-workers, sorority & fraternity sisters and brothers, church members, and neighbors now who will be on your fundraising team. Prizes and awards will be given to the top-fundraising individuals and teams.

This event was created to raise funds for college-bound students to provide them with scholarships and services. UNCF supports 37 historically black colleges and universities and provides scholarships to minority students attending over 1,100 colleges and universities across the country. You can impact our local community by raising funds for education. Walk participants help to save our historical black colleges and universities (HBCU’s) and provide financial assistance for children from our community.

Corporate teams, fraternities, sororities, groups, faith-based entities, organizations, HBCU Alumni and individuals who participate realize that "A mind is a terrible thing to waste"? and the importance of "giving back".

Registration is FREE! Register, make a personal gift, solicit donations, and attend the event. Registered participants who donate/raise $100 or more will be eligible for a commemorative Walk T-shirt and other prizes.
