Hey Fam and Friends!

As some of you know I worked for the United Negro College for many years when we lived in New York.  Working for UNCF is by far one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had and because I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of UNCF to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities, I have accepted the challenge of my good friend, Jackie Kidd, to partner with her in raising funds for UNCF’s upcoming 5K walk/run!

The 5K walk/run will be held at Roosevelt Island in New York on September 8th, 2018.  I do hope my New York peeps make it out to this 3rd annual event!  BUT, just as important, (especially to my southern fam and friends) if you are not able to make it out to the event, Steve and I would REALLY appreciate it if you would please donate to this cause!  we personally know students who have benefited from UNCF scholarships so we are trying to break the BANK on this one!

There will be activities for everyone: Zumba, mini health fair, entertainment for children and of course, the awards for the participants and distribution of college and scholarship information.

NO ONE can do everything but EVERYONE can do SOMETHING!
