Black History Month 2024
UNCF (United Negro College Fund) has been at the forefront of providing financial support to underserved students for nearly 80 years. Our history originates in the time of educational segregation, Jim Crow, the civil rights movement to current, stratified America.
This year, you are invited to join us in our observance of Black History Month. Beginning with the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, our “Elements of Education” initiative highlights individuals who have made indelible imprints on their industries and are products of historically Black colleges and universities. These individuals not only acknowledge their accomplishments, but also the positive impact an HBCU educational experience has had on their lives. Watch a short video about these phenomenal stories.
Our hope is that you will find the testimonials of these impressive individuals inspiring and that you will decide to support UNCF to send students to and through college. Your donation, no matter the size, is appreciated because there is consistent need that your donation addresses:
- $70 helps a student with general supplies
- $100 helps a student with PPE supplies
- $200 helps a student with a laptop
- $400 helps a student with a food plan
- $1,000 helps a student with room and board
- $2,000 helps a student with tuition
Remember when you help bring a student’s dream of attending college to fruition, each “Element of Education” that is established makes us all stronger and makes for a better, more vibrant society.
